Disneyland Tips

Earlier this month we were able to take a little work break and head out on a girls trip. That’s the beauty of working for yourself, right?! So we are taking a little break from the regular social strategy posts to share our best Disneyland tips.

Let’s do this.

DOWNLOAD THE APP.

The number on bit of advice we can give is download the Disneyland app. It is a MUST for every single Disney trip. You can buy your tickets there, reserve your park days, check out wait times, link your credit card to do mobile orders, get show times, download photos. It is a must and a must and a must.

MAKE RESERVATIONS.

Make sure you buy your tickets and reserve your park dates BEFORE you purchase your flights and hotel. You need to make sure that there are park reservations available for the days you want to go, otherwise… you will be out of luck! You can see all the days available on the app for both parks.

PARK HOPPERS.

There are a few investments in your Disney experience that we recommend if you can swing it (if not, not stress) and the first would be a Park Hopper. With this pass you can go between BOTH parks during the day. The only thing to note, is that at the moment you can’t park jump until after 1pm. But from 1pm until close you can go back and forth as many times your heart desires. This is especially great if you are trying to make the most of one day at the parks.

GENIE+ PASS.

The second investment is the Genie+ Pass. This gives you access to just a tiny bit more though your day. First thing you get is access to Lightning Lane passes which is the new fast pass for most of the rides. It helps you make the most of your day, quick lines and more rides. Second you will get access to ALL photos taken from the Disneyland photographers that day. Which is awesome because they are high quality and you don’t have to access strangers to snap your family photo in front of the castle.

MAKE PLANS.

Make sure you have a game plan for when you arrive at the park for where you are going to head first on rides - this will help you not get frustrated when trying to get the most of your day. Head to popular rides FIRST! At Disneyland head to Rise Against the Resistance. At California Adventure head to Web Slingers or Radiator Springs. Those are the rides that get long lines that never shorten AND cost extra for a Lightning Lane pass.

Another way to plan ahead is to think of food and beverage. If you are looking to cut a few costs you can plan ahead by packing snacks and drinks in advance. You can take in food and beverage, just no alcohol or glass bottles. Pack up your backpack with snacks and save a few dollars.

ENJOY IT.

And of course. Eat, drink, and be merry! Enjoy the day. Make memories. And have the BEST TIME!
